Note: The video and instructions below discuss how to setup for in-person gatherings. However, with many events moved online, the instructions are different for integrating with a Zoom call! In-Venue Requirements
- Reliable internet connection (wired ethernet connection HIGHLY recommended. Minimum 1 Mbps download and upload speed)
- Microphone audio connection from venue’s soundboard
- Laptop running Google Chrome
Steps:
- Setup laptop with reliable internet connection (wired ethernet connection recommended)
- Connect microphone audio from soundboard with computer running spf.io and configure computer so the soundboard is the selected microphone input
- Decide how the audience members will access captioning/translation
- If on mobile – share the audience URL with the audience (i.e. yoururl.spf.io/z)
- If with a projector – setup the laptop with a projector so the audience can see captions/translation on the screen
